I like my hair the way it is but I was wondering...
We can grow hair in varying shades of Red, Yellow, Brown, and Black. Some gene within us tells our body what color we will be growing.
Maybe at birth or some other stage in our development would it be possible to manipulate the gene to grow one color over another in the first place?
If so can our body be altered to produce colors different than what we can normally grow?
For example could a person altered at birth grow up to ';naturally'; grow purple hair?Is it possible to grow hair in unconventional colors?
If you can think it, if you can dream it, theoretically it is possible. If the gene coding for a specific color could be isolated from another animal and inserted into a human egg then it could happen. Scientists now have goats producing spider silk in their milk.Is it possible to grow hair in unconventional colors?
At first I was going to say no, but then I started thinking about it...
It may be a little hard to imagine in today's world, but I think it could definitely become reality in the future. There is already all kinds of genetic modification going on, so why not this? If a scientist could figure out how to do something like insert the gene(s) that codes for pigmentation in, say, a purple flower, into the gene(s) that controls human hair color, it could totally be possible!
genetically speaking yes!
we have our technology today the GENETIC ENGINEERING that would fix the possible alleles for a certain trait a person want..
in natural way yes!! we have the genetic possibilities like CODOMINANCE, INCOMPLETE DOMINANCE and others that would result to that
alter the dna
I doubt it.
