How long would it take to grow hair back if u shave it all off?

I am thinking of shaving my hair off to raise money for a local charity and was wondering how long it would take to grow back. Plus if its true it may grow back a different colour and straight (as ive curly hair)How long would it take to grow hair back if u shave it all off?
Hairs grows roughly an inch every 6 weeks, although this varies because so people's hair grows quicker than this some slower.





Hair can grow back a slightly different colour, it wouldn't be much of a change though.





Your hair could end up being straight. Many people who have curly hair and cut it short never regain the full curl they had when their hair was long.

It'll grow back in your natural color and your natural texture.

in two months you'll look like Mia Farrow





in 6 months you'll look like Twiggy





in a 12 months you'll have enough for a small little half ponytail, or tight pigtails.





And honestly, if you have real curly hair, and have a tiny bit of weight/chubby cheeks you'll look terrible while your hair grows back.





Or you'll look like little orphan Annie, either way, it'd be a really difficult look to grow into.

As a mom, who went through a breakup, and has difficulties fitting into a new environment, you need as much hair as you can get. Please don't cut it.
My friend shaved all her hair off last summer (in an act of rebellion not for charity) it's still barely jaw length.


She says her hair always grew slowly, so i reckon the speed it grows back depends.


Her hair grew back the same colour and texture though.


I think it's so great that you could do this for charity - maybe don't actually shave all your hair off though, what if your skulls a weird shape?


Just get like a really short pixie cut or something.

HI LAUREN,as a barber i have done headshaves before on women and it really depends on how long it is before it is shaved off. if it down your back it could take up to 7 months to get to original length. it will grow back the same colour and texture. remember you r doing it for charity and you are very brave so do not worry good luck.
Everybodys hair grows back at different speeds. How often do you get it cut and how short/long do you have it? - that should be a rough guide. Mine grows back very quick and I like it short, so have to get it cut around every 7-10 days! From bald though I'd imagine it would take at least a couple of weeks to grow back.
I wanted to do this because my hair is very damaged and I've dyed it black and hate it.





What I would do if I was you, is save up for a really good wig whilst your hair grows back!
