1. get your hair trimmed about every 3 months

2. use a good quailty shampoo %26amp; conditioner (from a salon, tresemme is also really good)

3. take vitamins every day (multivitamins, prenatal vitamins, or hair, skin, and nail vitamins)

4. wash your hair only 2-3 times a week

5. if you use heat styling tools ALWAYS use a heat protector

6. deep condition your hair once a week

**the healthier your hair is the faster it will grow**How can i as a african american grow hair to bra-strap length?
1. Use topical hair growth cream

2. Take hair growth vitamins

3. Shampoo your hair weekly (a shampoo with NO SULFATE... read the back of the label... if you see ';SULFATE'; anywhere, THROW IT OUT!! This is BAD news for OUR hair)

4. Deep condition weekly

5. Do a protein treatment every month

6. Keep your hair in weave, braid, bun, etc so that you do not have to trim your hair.

7. Moisturize it daily
ok gurl im 15 and im a sophmore in highskool. in mi freshman year i cut mi hair n went natural n now mi hair is strong n growing more n more each day. u can try doing that if u really wan t growth i would suggest u do this b4 yo freshman year but if u dnt wanna go that route u can use mane n tail products they really help your hair grow longer. try drinking lots of water n takin viatimins lyke biotin which helps yo hair n nails grow. good luck
1. Eat a protein-based diet.

2. Try out Topical Growth Aids (some of 'em might seem weird.. but they work!)

3. Take Hair Skin and Nails/MSM vitamins

4. Don't stress out your hair too much.

5. Keep your hair in top condition.

6. Shampoo atleast once a week.

7. Try to massage it everyday. Use Rosemary or Peppermint oil.
well protective hair styles like buns, twists, braids can help retain length becuase you are keeping it moistuized and sealed with oil natural oils like jojoba, coconut, castor etc.
