Thanks!Does The Vitamin Biotin Really help grow hair, longer, and faster?
Nothing helps your hair grow faster, it grows at it's natural speed which is on average half an inch a year. Biotin is helpful in having the new growth stronger and less prone to easy damage like split ends as most hair is prone too. Further more it's good for your body. The best thing is to leave your hair alone, take a multivitamin and you'll be fine.Does The Vitamin Biotin Really help grow hair, longer, and faster?
VA B You're a liar! Sure it takes a while for hair to grow, but it's not only a mere 1/2 inch per year. I have friends that have short hair and in August when they were coming to band camp with me, they had at least five inches more. It's because they were all around healthy.

Some people disagree that Biotin doesn't work for growth and only makes hair healthier but Biotin is necessary for cell growth which improves hair, nail and skin. What Biotin doesn't do is accelerate hair grow. The vitamin is basically food for your hair and without it the hair takes longer to grow.
About how much growth, that would depend on your deficiency (if any) of biotin in your body and how well the intake of Biotin is being absorbed. Remember that if your taking medications or OTC medications you need to wait at least 2 hours before taking the vitamin or it will not be absorbed.
Yes it's safe. since the body will get rid of the excess when you urinate and animal studies have indicated few, if any, effects due to toxic doses of biotin. This may provide evidence that both animals and humans could tolerate doses of at least an order of magnitude greater than each of their nutritional requirements. There are no reported cases of adverse effects from receiving high doses of the vitamin.
I take Biotin tablets that carry 5000ug (5mg) from Nature's Bounty. They even sell them in capsules that are easier to swallow. Getting 5,000ug per day equals 1,667% of daily value so that's a LOT. I've been taking biotin for a couple of months and my hair grows pretty fast and healthy BUT not strong as I wanted so keep in mind that you will have to cut one inch of hair every two months if you want to keep the hair strong. I don't recommend using shampoos that contain Biotin since I've heard they are not absorbed well in your scalp
Other remedies are: a good diet and water. And for the hair, do hot oil treatments once a week, I use Aphogee to repair my hair since I blow dry and sometimes iron my hair (you can go to Youtube and watch the reviews), avoid ponytails, use a hair sunscreen, etc. Good Luck!
It can, but it can also kill you if you continue to take it for more than a short period of time. Your body cannot handle those high levels of vitamins! It will cause a crystallization of the blood (arthritis) and a buildup on the organs, which leads to organ failure=death. Hair is a buildup of protein, so eating protein is the fastest and safest way to accelerate hair growth. No product can help you, it will take time, sorry.
